UrduPlace is committed to respecting the intellectual property rights of others. We comply fully with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (“DMCA”) and will respond promptly to valid notices of alleged infringement.

If you believe that your work has been copied on UrduPlace in a way that constitutes copyright infringement, please send a written notice containing all of the following elements to [email protected]:

  1. Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed (for example, a link to an authorized version you control).
  2. Identification of the infringing material on our website, including exact URLs or page locations where the unauthorized content appears.
  3. Your contact information: full name, email address, and a statement that you consent to be contacted at that address.
  4. A statement of good‑faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law (e.g., “I have a good faith belief that the use of the material described above is not authorized by the copyright owner.”).
  5. A statement under penalty of perjury that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner’s behalf.
  6. Your electronic or physical signature (typing your full name at the end of the email will suffice as an electronic signature).

Please title your email subject line “DMCA Notice.” Notices sent without all of the above elements may not be effective or processed.

3. Counter‑Notification Procedure

If you believe that your content was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter‑notice to [email protected] containing:

  1. Identification of the removed or disabled material and its location before removal.
  2. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.
  3. Your contact information (name and email) and a statement consenting to the jurisdiction of your local federal court and agreeing to accept service of process there.
  4. Your electronic or physical signature (typing your full name at the end of the email).

Upon receipt of a valid counter‑notice, we may restore the material approximately 10–14 business days after sending a copy of the counter‑notice to the original complainant, unless we first receive notice that the complainant has filed a court action to restrain your use of the material.

4. Repeat Infringer Policy

UrduPlace operates a “repeat infringer” policy. We terminate, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts or access of users who are responsible for multiple instances of copyright infringement.

5. Expedited Takedown for Urgent Cases

If you have a court order (e.g., preliminary injunction) requiring immediate removal of material, please indicate “URGENT” in your subject line. We will give priority to processing any judicial orders we receive.

6. Modifications to This Policy

UrduPlace may update this policy at any time. Notable changes will be reflected in the “Last updated” date above. We encourage rights‑holders to review this policy periodically.

Thank you for helping us maintain a respectful, law‑abiding environment. If you have any questions about this policy or the status of a notice, please contact [email protected].
